About Us

We enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum, we create learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids carry to everything they do.

Welcome to The New Jersey Youth Development Foundation (NJYDF) and First Tee – Raritan Valley. First Tee – Raritan Valley’s mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. First Tee – Raritan Valley is currently expanding and developing programs with several new partners and is open to working with anyone. We were able to reach more than 70,000 students throughout six counties of New Jersey in 2022. We currently offer program opportunities in Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset, Union, and Warren Counties of New Jersey. The First Tee program allows youth ages 5-18 to participate in the life skills experience, core values, and increase their golf skills.

The New Jersey Youth Development Foundation is an official 501c(3) not for profit and was formed in 2004. The NJYDF annually provides financial assistance, programs, and scholarships.
